This role is situated within a specialized inpatient rehabilitation unit dedicated to male patients. As part of our Rehabilitation and High Support Care Hub, this is an exciting time to join us as we implement numerous enhancements aimed at elevating patient care and optimizing recovery times.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be an essential part of a dedicated team delivering direct care to individuals facing severe and persistent mental health challenges.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the designated nurse responsible for the comprehensive care of a specific group of patients.
- Regularly serving as the shift coordinator to ensure efficient operation of the clinical environment and optimal use of available resources, with guidance from senior personnel.
- Engaging in the provision of high-quality, safe, and effective care.
- Overseeing the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Complying with all organizational policies, procedures, guidelines, and core values.
- Collaborating with a diverse multi-disciplinary team.
- Offering supervision and mentorship to junior staff members.

Essential Qualifications
- Current NMC registration.
- Experience in an inpatient care setting.
- Qualification in mentorship/supervision or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
- Experience working with complex patient groups.
- Understanding of adult safeguarding protocols.
- Knowledge and experience in risk assessment for the client population.
- Familiarity with safe medication administration practices.
- Experience engaging with challenging client groups.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in rehabilitation services.
- Training in psychosocial education.
- Training in substance misuse.
- Mentorship qualification.
