About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey, providing guidance, and promoting positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key worker to a caseload of service users, supporting them to set and achieve their goals
  • Maintain regular contact with clients, offering advice, information, and psycho-social interventions
  • Provide assessments, risk management planning, and work closely with clinical staff around prescribing needs and partner agencies
  • Communicate effectively with a range of service users and colleagues, managing different tasks and prioritizing responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Understanding of substance and alcohol use, and the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work dynamically on a one-to-one and group basis
  • Knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery, with a commitment to Turning Point values
