Job Summary

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at our Halton Supported Living Service in Runcorn and Widnes. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, empowering them to achieve their goals and live independently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with personal care, including hygiene, grooming, and dressing
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to help individuals build their confidence and self-esteem
  • Assist with medication, meal preparation, and moving and handling
  • Support individuals to access the community and engage in activities that promote their well-being
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individual care plans

Requirements

  • Strong empathy and understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
  • Willingness to undertake training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
