As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality meals to our residents.

You will work closely with our Home Manager to plan and cost menus, ensuring a balanced and nutritious diet that meets the needs of our residents.

Supervising and training kitchen staff, you will ensure that all food safety and hygiene procedures are followed, and that our kitchen is a clean and safe environment for all.

You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of food supplies, freezer and fridge temperatures, and ensuring stock rotation.

Additionally, you will assist in the ordering of stocks and checking of deliveries, and conduct Basic Food Hygiene training for all care staff involved in handling and delivery of food.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced chef who has a passion for delivering high-quality food in a care environment.

You will need to have a City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent, and have experience of food preparation for the relevant Service User group.

A team player with good communication skills, you will be able to work on your own initiative and have a basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

Previous management or supervisory experience would be advantageous, but not essential.

We offer a competitive salary of £13.80 per hour, 40 hours per week, and a company pension.
