Role Overview

As a Lead Care Support Specialist at Methodist Homes, you will guide and motivate a dedicated team of care assistants to deliver exceptional care to our residents, enabling them to enjoy their later years. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with personal care needs and facilitating their participation in various activities that promote their health and wellbeing. Additionally, you will manage medication administration and maintain accurate documentation. Each day will present new challenges, allowing you to utilize your leadership and interpersonal skills to create a meaningful impact.

Candidate Profile

The ideal Lead Care Support Specialist will have a genuine passion for supporting older individuals, possess prior care experience, and hold at least an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care, with a willingness to pursue level 3. You should have experience in leading, coaching, and inspiring a team to provide high-quality care.

A compassionate, warm, and caring demeanor is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and exercise initiative. Strong patience, communication, and listening skills are crucial. You should also excel in maintaining accurate records, managing time efficiently, and prioritizing tasks. If you have the capability to lead by example, build positive relationships, and energize colleagues to deliver outstanding care, we would be eager to hear from you.
