Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of 6th Form to join our team at Nova Education Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the 6th form, ensuring students achieve their full potential and reach their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the 6th form, developing and implementing strategies to improve student outcomes and achievement.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Head Teacher - Post 16 to ensure students have access to a range of academic and vocational learning opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions to support students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum and assessment policies.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience of leading and managing a 6th form or similar setting.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Knowledge of curriculum and assessment policies, with the ability to contribute to their development and implementation.
