Job Summary:
Bay View is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Residential Childcare Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our Residential Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, secure, and homely environment for young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with the young person, their family, and other professionals to ensure their needs are met.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with young people, promoting trust, respect, and open communication.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Bay View's standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in childcare and youth work.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach, promoting a culture of mutual respect and support.
- Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive records, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
- Undertake risk assessments and implement strategies to minimize risks, ensuring the safety and well-being of young people and staff.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the Residential Team's goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children and Young People or Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship (or equivalent).
- Full UK driving license.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Ability to work flexibly, including sleep-ins and on-call shifts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
