Job Title: Information Security Manager - Governance and Risk
Location: Glasgow – hybrid
Salary: Up to £75,000 + benefits
Head Resourcing is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to join a successful family-owned Glasgow business. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the implementation, development, and execution of a wide range of security-related activities, including compliance with policies and standards, monitoring, risk and threat assessment, and business continuity and disaster recovery.
This role requires a minimum of 2 days on-site working in Glasgow and offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to progress. You will have the chance to work with a variety of security tools, including Microsoft Purview or another data loss prevention platform, and contribute to the creation of contingency plans in the event of a security breach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of information security analysts and implement security policies and frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001/22301, and NIST.
- Work with operations teams to ensure compliance and have in-depth knowledge of security tools and technologies.
- Research and evaluate emerging cyber security threats and develop strategies to manage them.
- Contribute to disaster recovery plans and create contingency plans in the event of a security breach.
Requirements:
- Background in Information Security and experience leading a team of information security analysts.
- In-depth knowledge of security policies and frameworks, including Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001/22301, and NIST.
- Experience working with operations teams to ensure compliance.
- Understanding of a variety of security tools, including Microsoft Purview or another data loss prevention platform.
- Ability to research and evaluate emerging cyber security threats and develop strategies to manage them.
- Experience contributing to disaster recovery plans and creating contingency plans in the event of a security breach.
