About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in Specialist Palliative Care at Y Bwthyn Newydd, Bridgend, and Y Bwthyn Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in palliative care and a desire to extend their career further.

The ideal candidate will have good organisational skills, work well within a team and independently, and have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and support patients and families with their specialist palliative care needs in the hospital or in the community.
  • Work closely with the Senior Nurse to ensure standards of care are met.
  • Represent the Health Board at delegated Health Board meetings.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand their specialist palliative care skills and knowledge, and will be part of a robust induction, education, and nurturing programme.
