Locum Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team as a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist - Primary Care Liaison. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, providing specialist consultative liaison to Primary Care based staff for advice and guidance.
Main DutiesThe post-holder will provide specialist consultative liaison to Primary Care based staff for advice and guidance (GPs and Primary Care Mental Health Service) for the primary care networks in the North West of Hertfordshire. The post-holder will also provide additional support to the primary and specialist care Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT) regarding diagnoses, risk formulation and medications.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have excellent knowledge in psychiatry, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty. They will also have the ability to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training, and participate in continuous professional development.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
