About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Sales Intern to join our team at Londonist DMC - Student Accommodation Agency. This is an excellent opportunity for university students seeking placement experience or recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in the student accommodation industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in generating leads and attracting prospective students through various sales and marketing activities.
- Support the sales team in managing and updating the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Respond to inquiries from students and parents, providing excellent customer service and addressing their needs and concerns to help them book accommodation.
- Participate in market research to identify new opportunities and trends within the student housing market.
- Provide administrative support, including preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Effectively balance the core direct sales disciplines including but not limited to; prospecting, solicitation, rate quoting, contracting, sales calls, online conversations.
- Respond promptly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
- Assist Sales Representatives and Executives and other salespersons to communicate effectively with operational departments.
- Assist salespersons to review group resumes and rooming lists to ensure accuracy and fulfil any special requests.
- Comply with the demands coming from the Sales Executive and other salespersons.
- Be available to work on weekends and during evening shifts as required to meet the Sales Department`s needs.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a university program (preferably in business, marketing, or a related field).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to Multitask
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Prior sales or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn about the student accommodation industry.
- Flexible to work weekends and evening shifts
- Must have a valid work permit in the UK (part time or full time)
