Direct Medics is partnering with a leading provider of inpatient and residential care to connect talented Clinical or Counselling Psychologists with an impactful opportunity.
This specialized service focuses on supporting young people and their families facing eating disorders and related challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in evidence-based practices and a commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary teamwork.
Your Role:- Provide expert psychological assessment and intervention for young individuals experiencing eating disorders and co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, trauma, depression, and self-harm.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Engage in ongoing research and evidence-generating activities to enhance the effectiveness of the specialized service.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide comprehensive support and guidance.
- Current HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
- Post-graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of eating disorders and related comorbidities, their impact on children and adolescents, and their families.
- Experience working with patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder, neurodivergence, trauma, and personality disorders is highly desirable.
