Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Elysium Healthcare. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, and risk assessments for patients with severe eating disorders and complex mental health difficulties.
You will work closely with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and other members of the team to provide high-quality clinical supervision, training, and consultation to junior members of the team. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting the development of our individualized and patient-centered service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological assessments and individualized evidence-based psychological interventions for patients with severe eating disorders and complex mental health difficulties.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary risk management, care planning, and decision-making through evidence-based and formulation-driven psychological perspectives.
- Manage a complex caseload as an individual psychological therapist working within a multidisciplinary team, facilitating group psychological interventions and family/systemic interventions.
- Monitor clinical progress through regular reviews of psychological treatment.
- Provide high-quality clinical supervision to junior members of the psychology team.
- Support staff development through the provision of training, consultation, formulation meetings, and reflective practice sessions.
- Contribute to service developments within the therapies team and wider service.
- Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent if trained overseas).
- Registration with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist.
- Prior experience in eating disorders is desirable but not essential for this position. Experience working with patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder, neurodivergence, trauma, and personality disorders is also desirable.
- Post-qualification training in the specialist application of therapeutic models relevant for working with children and adolescents with eating disorders and other comorbidities.
- Experience of supervising and training junior members of the team.
- Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for patient's psychological care and treatment as a qualified professional within the context of a multidisciplinary care plan.
