We are seeking an experienced Children's Support Worker to join our expanding team at Brook Street Social Care. As a Residential Child Care Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people in our residential services across Cardiff.
Key Responsibilities- Work as part of a team to provide a consistent, caring, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children, promoting their personal and academic growth.
- Manage challenging behaviors in a professional and safe manner, adhering to risk assessments and personal plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery and support.
- At least 6 months of relevant UK-based care experience working with children.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and support other projects as needed.
- Knowledge of working with children with EBD, ADHD, attachment issues, and other challenging behaviors.
- Willingness to undergo further training and development to progress in the role.
- A competitive hourly rate of £13.50 (plus holiday pay entitlement).
