Insurance Claims Processor/Handler

At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a Insurance Claims Processor/Handler on a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with operational teams to supply necessary data requested by external claims handlers.
- Communicate with the fleet department regarding the expenses of own damage claims and keep claims handlers informed, especially for non-fault claims where recovery of costs is applicable.
- Coordinate with the insurance broker on past policies and claims.
- Work with operations to ensure thorough accident investigations are conducted and relevant footage is uploaded.
- Foster relationships with the Group's insurance broker, insurance providers, and claims management service provider, participating in regular review meetings as needed.
- Partner with service providers to identify initiatives aimed at enhancing claims cost efficiency.
- Ensure that best practice procedures are in place for effective management of all insurance claims, delivering timely management information and KPIs while identifying and implementing continuous improvements to minimize costs.
- Assist with inputs into freight liability and property spreadsheets.
- Maintain the accuracy and currency of the Motor Insurance Database (MID) at all times.
- Provide support for all other insurance policies as required.
Essential Skills:
- Prior experience in claims handling, particularly in motor personal injury claims.
- Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to adapt to various bespoke systems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational abilities and effective task prioritization in a dynamic environment.
