Our client, Payroll Elite Ltd, a reputable accounts and payroll service provider to the hospitality industry, is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join their finance team. They have operated for over 15 years, providing services to over 40 restaurant sites.

Key responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator will include:

  • Accurately logging new starters onto the payroll software
  • Ensuring timely receipt of fortnightly/Monthly payroll files from clients
  • Processing all payrolls in a timely manner
  • Recreating new excel payroll files for subsequent payrolls and emailing them to clients
  • Posting payroll journals in SAGE using excel import
  • Processing ad-hoc payroll paperwork, including attachment of earnings, P6's, fines, sick pay, maternity pay, paternity pay, and loans
  • Issuing P45s and other tax forms
  • Preparing payroll year-end reports, including employee P60 and P11d
  • Uploading pension data to client's pension providers' accounts and retrieving data to update payroll for pension leavers or opt-outs

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of payroll experience is essential
  • Knowledge of previous accounting software, Sage Payroll, is an advantage
  • Confidence with numbers and Excel
  • Good spoken and written communication skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn and work well in a team
