Position Overview:

The Audio Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing a dynamic audio production facility, which includes Sound Control Rooms, Commentary Booths, and Multi-Audio Rooms. This position serves as the primary point of contact for all facility clients, ensuring that operations meet the highest industry standards.

In this role, you will manage the daily operations and development of the audio facility and its personnel. You will collaborate effectively with various departments to ensure that audio workflows are efficient and tailored to meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of audio professionals.
  • Oversee the Audio Department, ensuring service delivery meets the highest standards.
  • Manage facilities across multiple locations.
  • Address technical issues during production promptly, implementing suitable solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Foster strong communication and relationships with key stakeholders, focusing on strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with other operational teams to maintain clear and effective communication.
  • Work with technology teams to implement system upgrades and ensure staff are trained accordingly.
  • Represent the Audio Operations in cross-departmental projects, ensuring alignment between engineering and production.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and system enhancements.
  • Drive the development of systems and software in collaboration with engineering teams, overseeing testing and training.
  • Cultivate in-house talent through comprehensive technical training programs.
  • Manage purchase orders, invoices, and track additional expenses.
  • Lead projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and promote best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in the execution of new business plans and initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in audio production within a broadcast or facility environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large teams and delivering high-quality results.
  • Familiarity with audio equipment and systems, including intercom systems and audio consoles.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of representing the Audio Operations at high-level meetings.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently under pressure.
  • Experience in budget management and expense tracking.

Metrics:

This role involves managing operations across multiple sites and leading a team of over 10 audio professionals, with access to numerous sound control rooms and dedicated audio booths.

Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote and in-office work, in accordance with company policies.
