About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Principal Practitioner Psychologist to join our High Intensity User Service (HIUS) team. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will provide clinical leadership and work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality services to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Providing clinical leadership to the HIUS team and contributing to the development of trauma-informed care practices.
  2. Working intensively with high-intensity users of services and their networks to better understand their needs and collaborate with colleagues to find improved ways of meeting those needs.
  3. Offering consultation, supervision, and training to colleagues and contributing to the development of new initiatives to improve service user experience.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology as approved by the HCPC.
  2. Professionally registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  3. Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
