About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Community Development Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing community-focused projects and initiatives that support the needs of children, young people, and families in the Welshpool area.

About You:

  • A strong commitment to community development and partnership working
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including children, young people, families, and community groups
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement community-focused projects and initiatives that support the needs of children, young people, and families in the Welshpool area
  • Work closely with community groups, schools, and local services to identify and address community needs
  • Provide project management and coordination for the development and delivery of the Children First model and the Flying Start programme
  • Manage and oversee the operation of a family centre in Welshpool
  • Develop and implement projects, activities, and events to support transformational and sustainable cultural change in the community
