About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Community Development Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing community-focused projects and initiatives that support the needs of children, young people, and families in the Welshpool area.
About You:
- A strong commitment to community development and partnership working
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including children, young people, families, and community groups
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement community-focused projects and initiatives that support the needs of children, young people, and families in the Welshpool area
- Work closely with community groups, schools, and local services to identify and address community needs
- Provide project management and coordination for the development and delivery of the Children First model and the Flying Start programme
- Manage and oversee the operation of a family centre in Welshpool
- Develop and implement projects, activities, and events to support transformational and sustainable cultural change in the community
