Job Description

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of CAMHS Community Team Lead. This position offers an exciting opportunity to enhance leadership skills and influence the delivery of quality care for children and young people 0-18 with Learning Disabilities.

About the Role

The CAMHS service provides assessment and treatment for young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities who present with mental health concerns and or behaviours that are significantly challenging. The post holder will provide day-to-day operational leadership and management for the team, reporting directly to the Service Manager of the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the operational management of the service delivery within the service.
  • Leading and managing the team, ensuring they are suitably trained, informed and competent to carry out the full range of their duties.
  • Ensuring systems are in place to allocate new caseloads and efficient use of resources to ensure caseloads and the management of caseloads remain safe.
  • Contributing to the review, development and implementation of service-wide policies and protocols.
  • Ensuring regulatory requirements are met and adhered to and fundamental standards of care are embedded into practice.
Requirements

The post holder is required to have previous experience in working with children and young people, an ILM certificate in management or equivalent, and evidence of providing leadership in Learning Disabilities or similar environment including service development.
