Social Companion for Young Man with Visual Impairment

About the RoleWe are seeking a reliable and caring individual to provide companionship and support to our 23-year-old son, Asher, who has a visual impairment and is non-verbal. As a Social Personal Assistant, you will be responsible for building a good relationship with Asher and engaging him in activities he enjoys, such as going to the cinema, bowling, or exploring the city centre.
You will need to be aware of the challenges faced by visually impaired individuals and take responsibility for Asher's safety and wellbeing at all times. This role requires a high level of understanding and co-operation, and we are looking for someone who can provide a genuine interest in Asher's interests and activities.
Requirements- Ability to build a good relationship with Asher and engage him in activities he enjoys
- Awareness of the challenges faced by visually impaired individuals
- Responsibility for Asher's safety and wellbeing at all times
- High level of understanding and co-operation
We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.00 and the opportunity to make a positive impact on Asher's life. This role is subject to a DBS check and references.
