About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Garden Centre Manager to join our team at Morepeople 01780. As a key member of our management team, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth operation and continued success of our garden centre.

As a Deputy Garden Centre Manager, you will work closely with the Garden Centre Manager to ensure that our customers receive outstanding service and that our staff are motivated and productive. You will be responsible for leading a team of retail professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and driving sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of retail professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales and profitability
  • Work closely with the Garden Centre Manager to develop and implement business strategies and plans
  • Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure excellent customer service and high levels of productivity
  • Monitor and control stock levels, manage inventory, and maintain a high level of visual merchandising
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing initiatives to drive business growth and profitability
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a garden centre or similar environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a proactive approach to delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Good organisational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A passion for plants and gardening, with a strong knowledge of horticulture and gardening products
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and be available for on-call duties
