The Role

Gilbert Meher is proud to partner with The Royal College of Chiropractors in the search for an inspirational Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is a unique opportunity for a visionary leader to steer the College through its next phase of growth and influence. Reporting directly to the Council and working closely with the President, the CEO will be the strategic and operational leader of the College, responsible for delivering the College's mission to promote excellence in chiropractic care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a long-term strategy that ensures the College remains at the forefront of chiropractic practice and education.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the efficient management of all College activities, including member services, educational programs, and research initiatives.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure robust governance practices are maintained, and the College operates in full compliance with its Royal Charter and relevant regulations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, healthcare organizations, and the wider chiropractic community.
  • Advocacy: Represent the College at national and international levels, advocating for the chiropractic profession and influencing healthcare policy.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and experienced leader with a proven track record in executive roles within healthcare, education, or professional bodies. They will possess a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and demonstrate strong strategic acumen, operational expertise, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within a membership body, healthcare, medical education, and/or academia background would be desirable.
  • A broad understanding of the private healthcare sector and the NHS is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans and manage complex operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence at the highest levels.
  • A commitment to the values and mission of The Royal College of Chiropractors.
