About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Store Manager to join our team at Lidl. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of retail professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a team of retail professionals to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and maintaining high standards of customer service
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales performance, customer satisfaction, and team engagement
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, inventory, and cash processes to ensure efficient store operations
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement store plans, including visual merchandising, promotions, and events
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive business results
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including stock management, inventory control, and cash processes
