About the Role
Westlakes Recruit is currently seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be located in Cumbria and will be an integral part of the Project control's function, providing discipline-level support within a matrix organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and compliance with company standard operating procedures.
- Collect and verify data sets to build approved detailed baselines, including basis of schedule generation.
- Facilitate interactive planning sessions with project stakeholders to promote collaborative working relationships and secure a quality product.
- Apply activity and appropriate coding structures (WBS, OBS, CBS) in proprietary software Primavera P6.
- Exchange electronic planning data with internal and supply chain departments and clients.
- Gather information and liaise with functional delivery departments, including supply chain interface, regarding project progress and performance claims.
- Introduce and analyze approved changes into the execution program.
- Produce and distribute reports, including Earned Value Monitoring (EVM) and forecasting.
- Monitor and take corrective action on approved commercial and project KPIs.
- Attend relevant project, progress, and planning meetings.
