About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Staff Nurse in our Dermatology Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nursing staff in the management of patients with diverse dermatological skin conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care and treatment to patients with dermatological conditions, including narrowband UVB, PUVA, UVA, and iontophoresis therapies.
  • Lead a team of nursing staff in the management of patients, including supervision, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including topical treatments and biologic/systemic treatment pathways.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in teaching and training of junior staff, students, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and clinical governance standards.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with post-registration experience in Dermatology.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of supervising and mentoring junior staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of topical treatments and biologic/systemic treatment pathways.
  • Ability to teach and train junior staff, students, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Experience of contributing to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
