Salary: £30 - £35k
We are working with a leading construction contractor to recruit a skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase invoices and ensure accurate payment
- Assist with the processing of subcontractor payments and retainages
- Reconcile nominal ledgers and ensure accurate financial records
- Assist with credit control, including monthly debtors and retainages
- Set up new supplier and customer records, ensuring all relevant forms are completed
- Assist the Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks and projects
- Input information into the finance system and use Excel for data analysis
- Prepare weekly supplier payment runs and process subcontractor payments
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to resolve queries and issues
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 2 AAT qualification
- Experience in the construction sector (desirable)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Positive approach to problem-solving and ability to work effectively in a team
