Position Overview:

Belmont Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Employment Support Specialist to join our team. This role is designed to assist individuals with high support needs in achieving sustainable employment opportunities tailored to their preferences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse caseload of clients, providing Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) and employability support.
  • Facilitate job searches, assist with CV creation, application processes, interview preparation, and career advancement.
  • Evaluate clients' support requirements and identify barriers to employment, offering impartial advice and guidance on overcoming these challenges.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings with clients to monitor their journey towards employment and provide personalized coaching and mentoring.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local employers to uncover job opportunities, including apprenticeships and work placements.
  • Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders within Adult Social Care Services, Integrated Learning Disabilities teams, and community organizations to promote available services.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in frontline services supporting individuals with mental health issues, learning disabilities, autism, or similar challenges in the labor market.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain partnerships with employers and engage with diverse communities.
  • In-depth understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with mental or physical health conditions when seeking employment.
