Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Care Support Specialist to join our team at Field View Care Recruitment Solutions. As a Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and homely environment for young people to develop and understand their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in probation, induction, supervision, staff meetings, learning and development
- Work in partnership with social workers, education, police, health, probation, and all other professionals in line with children's needs and interests
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality service is delivered
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Must be willing and able to achieve or hold the NVQ Level 4 Diploma for Residential Childcare or an equivalent
- Knowledge and skills in child development, behavior management, and safeguarding
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a childcare setting
- Full knowledge of Ofsted regulations and 9 standards
- Working within Child Protection procedures & Safeguarding children procedures
- Understanding of the impact of trauma on child development
- Committed to achieving best outcomes for children
- Able and willing to provide cover at other homes within reasonable distance as the needs of the children and the service requires
- Able to work required shift pattern -including sleeping-in
