We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, aged 5-19, with severe social communication difficulties, complex learning disabilities, and often challenging behaviors.
Key Responsibilities- Policy and Leadership: Assist in reviewing work practice policies, particularly those on work-related activities (WRA), and ensure all policies are vigorously adhered to in practice.
- Management of Teaching and Learning: Support teachers in meeting school policy and national curriculum requirements, and aid in implementing management strategies for effective teaching and learning environments.
- Management of Students: Support students in structured work across all curriculum areas, prepare differentiated work, and foster teamwork and positive attitudes among students.
- Management of Financial and Physical Resources: Assist in classroom organization to promote student independence and responsibility, and demonstrate physical and mental resilience to navigate the school's site.
- Evaluation and Quality: Monitor student work to inform planning processes, maintain records of student progress, and participate in the appraisal process.

We offer a buffet breakfast and hot cooked meal at lunchtime. The role is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:15pm, with a total of 36 hours per week.
