Job Summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and updating technical documentation and instructions for end-users to maximize the use of our client's platform.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a rapidly growing global software company based in the UK. As a Technical Writer, you will work on producing high-quality technical documentation, reviewing and updating existing content, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, release notes, and knowledge base articles
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of technical content
  • Review and update existing documentation to ensure consistency and compliance with company standards
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize documentation needs
  • Conduct research and analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years of software technical writing experience
  • Strong proofreading and copy editing skills
  • Excellent technical subject matter understanding
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

Desirable Skills

  • German, Dutch, or Japanese language skills
  • Agile methodology experience
  • Proficiency in tools such as RoboHelp, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, HTML, XML, Flash, JavaScript, Visio, Fireworks, and Photoshop
