Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Trauma Service as a Senior Physiotherapist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients in a rotational post between various specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive physiotherapy services to patients in the clinical areas assigned.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering the physiotherapy service provided to patients on a day-to-day basis.
  • Conduct community and home visits as required.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records in line with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and local policy.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients with diverse or complex presentations.
  • Formulate and deliver individual physiotherapy treatment programs based on evidence-based practice and treatment options.
  • Take delegated responsibility for managing patients with particular conditions.
  • Manage clinical risk within the patient caseload and report incidents and near misses.
  • Participate in the respiratory evening and weekend on-call rota.
  • Train, clinically supervise, and performance manage junior staff, technical instructors, assistants, and students.
  • Represent the physiotherapy service and/or individual patients at multi-disciplinary team meetings.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable broad postgraduate clinical experience in Neurology, Acute Respiratory, Trauma, and Orthopaedics.
  • Proven evidence of contribution to clinical education/supervision of less experienced staff, students, or assistants.
  • Awareness of current NHS and Health issues related to Trauma Care.
  • Previous experience of working in Cardiothoracics/Neurosurgery/ICU/Emergency care/Health Care for the Older Person.
  • Experience within a large acute healthcare environment.
Qualifications
  • Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy) or equivalent.
