Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Housing Operations Officer to join our team at Cambridge City Council. As a key member of our housing team, you will be responsible for the management of garages and parking spaces, working proactively and independently to let them promptly and ensuring minimal income loss.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the allocation and lettings of garages and parking spaces
  • Recover debt owed by garage and parking space tenants and repossess garages where necessary
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure compliance with council policies
  • Provide support, guidance, and expert advice to colleagues, councillors, and external agencies
  • Produce reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to build effective relationships
  • Understanding of key safeguarding principles
  • Excellent communication, organization, and IT skills
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle for business use (or willingness to cycle around the city)
