Quality Assurance Manager

Thales is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Cheadle, UK. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services, and will be responsible for planning and performing project audits and surveillance activities.
About the Role- Plan and perform project audits and surveillance activities in accordance with the Project Quality Plans and audit strategy
- Act as the customer's representative inside the project or bid team and look to maximize customer satisfaction and support any actions
- Manage and analyse reports to continually improve quality within the project, and ensure the quality performance is managed and reported to meet project time-scales
- Encourage and develop best practice, promoting a quality culture and environment of continuous improvement
- Proven experience working as a Quality Engineer or Quality Assurance Manager (or similar role) preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Detailed knowledge of current quality working practices and standards preferably ISO9001/AS9100
- Understanding of the engineering lifecycle – desirable
- Experience of working within a project structure and experience of managing work packages – desirable
- Qualified auditor or have similar experience
- Excellent communicator, collaborator and influencer in order to build relationships and promote Quality with key stakeholders
- Member of, or working towards membership of the Chartered Quality Institute – desirable
