Job Summary

TalentWave is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our software development team and drive the company's software strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Strategy and Roadmap: Define and execute the company's software strategy in collaboration with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Software and Data Engineers, ensuring their performance, development, and motivation.
  • Project Management: Manage engineering projects from planning to delivery, ensuring technical, timeline, and budgetary goals are met.
  • Culture of Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement across software, architecture, processes, and workflows.
  • Talent Acquisition and Retention: Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent to support the company's growth.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading engineering teams with 5-10 direct reports.
  • Technical Foundation: Strong foundation in software engineering, software design, and architecture.
  • Product and Project Management: Experience in product and project management, including setting roadmaps and driving execution.
  • Leadership Style: An empathetic leadership style with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in a multi-disciplinary setting, ideally in life sciences, biotech, or pharma.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to partner with executive stakeholders to align technical initiatives with business objectives.
