Housing Support Coordinator Position

Brackenberry is partnering with a Local Authority to recruit a Housing Support Coordinator. This role is designed to provide essential support to individuals navigating their housing journey.

Compensation: £27.37 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to clients, ensuring they are treated with dignity and that all organizational standards are upheld.
  • Assist clients in reaching their objectives and advancing through a structured housing pathway, offering personalized support plans and intensive case management.
  • Facilitate access to support services, evaluating clients' capacity for independent living and connecting them with essential resources.
  • Encourage client participation in initiatives aimed at reducing social isolation and enhancing self-esteem.
  • Act as an advocate for clients when necessary, offering practical assistance and accompanying them to various appointments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences and principles of Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Familiarity with the Care Act, housing regulations, and welfare benefits applicable to single homeless individuals.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety considerations in supported accommodation environments.

Experience Needed:

  • Proven experience working with homeless individuals facing complex challenges.
  • Background in delivering recovery-oriented services for clients with diverse needs.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, developing support plans, and coordinating cases.

Additional Criteria:

  • Availability to start immediately or with a brief notice period.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.K.
  • Possession of an enhanced DBS check is required.
