About the Role

The Management Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Capital Projects Manager to lead its successful and award-winning capital projects team.

This senior role plays a crucial part in contributing towards the delivery of strategies, policies, and decision-making within the Estates and Sustainability team.

The successful candidate will lead the project management team in delivery, ensuring that the agenda is fully integrated into the management of the university's property and estates operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the project management team in delivery, ensuring effective project management, design, and financial management capabilities.
  • Work collectively with all Estates and Sustainability colleagues on matters of common interest concerning the estate and operational operations.
  • Develop and oversee property and managing space, energy, biodiversity, and estate-related health and safety matters.
  • Implement sustainable practice through the choice of methods, materials, and technology.
  • Facilitate the university strategy relating to student residential and recreational provision.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have strong project management, design, and financial management capabilities and will use these to lead the team to ensure effective delivery of projects in line with agreed budgets, timescales, and design quality.

The candidate will be expected to work collectively with all Estates and Sustainability colleagues on matters of common interest concerning the estate and operational operations.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
