About the Role

The Management Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Capital Projects Manager to lead its successful and award-winning capital projects team.

This senior role plays a crucial part in contributing towards the delivery of strategies, policies, and decision-making within the Estates and Sustainability team.

The successful candidate will lead the project management team in delivery, ensuring that the agenda is fully integrated into the management of the university's property and estates operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project management team in delivery of capital projects
  • Ensure effective delivery of projects in line with agreed budgets, timescales, and design quality
  • Work collectively with Estates and Sustainability colleagues on matters of common interest concerning the estate and operational operations
  • Develop and oversee property and managing space, energy, biodiversity, and estate-related health and safety matters
  • Implement sustainable practice through choice of methods, materials, and technology

Requirements:

  • Strong project management, design, and financial management capabilities
  • Ability to lead a team to ensure effective delivery of projects
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
