Capital Projects Director

About the Role
As a senior member of the Estates and Sustainability team at Kingston University, this role plays a crucial part in contributing towards the delivery of strategies, policies, and decision-making. The role will lead the project management team in delivery, ensuring that this agenda is fully integrated into the management of the university's property and estates operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project management team to ensure effective delivery of projects in line with agreed budgets, timescales, and design quality.
- Work collectively with all Estates and Sustainability colleagues on matters of common interest concerning the estate and operational operations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and decision-making processes.
About the Person
The successful candidate will have strong project management, design, and financial management capabilities. They will use these skills to lead the team and ensure effective delivery of projects.
Directorate/Function
The Estates and Sustainability function is responsible for delivering continual improvements to the University's estate and enhancing the estate and facilities experience for students and staff. Our staff achieve this through developing and overseeing our property and managing space, energy, biodiversity, and estate-related health and safety matters.
We aim to achieve the highest practicable standards of energy efficiency throughout the University's estate and facilitate the University strategy relating to student residential and recreational provision. In all activity, we implement sustainable practice through our choice of methods, materials, and technology.
