Kingston University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capital Projects Manager to lead its successful and award-winning capital projects team. As a senior member of the Estates and Sustainability team, this role plays a crucial part in contributing towards the delivery of strategies, policies, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the project management team in delivery, ensuring that the agenda is fully integrated into the management of the university's property and estates operations.
- Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure the successful delivery of projects within agreed budgets, timescales, and design quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize capital projects, ensuring alignment with the university's strategic objectives.
- Manage and maintain relationships with external partners, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the university's estate and facilities, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the student and staff experience.
Requirements:
- Strong project management, design, and financial management capabilities.
- Proven experience in leading capital projects teams and delivering complex projects within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
