About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at the Halow Project. As an Independent Support Worker, you will play a vital role in nurturing independence in adults aged 16+ with learning disabilities living in Surrey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide High-Quality Support: Assist our young adults in planning their day-to-day lives, achieving their goals, and promoting their independence.
  • Encourage and Support: Help individuals set and work towards their goals, including independent travel training, learning to cook, and finding work experience.
  • Record Session Data and Outcomes: Accurately document session data and outcomes to ensure effective support and evaluation.
  • Resilience and Adaptability: Demonstrate resilience and adaptability when working one-on-one with individuals, often in challenging situations.
  • Personal Care and Administration: Provide personal care and administer medication (with full training provided) as required.
  • UK Driving Licence and Other Requirements: Possess a valid UK driving licence, be at least 18 years old, have the right to work in the UK, and be willing to undergo a DBS check.
