About Solar Options for Schools Ltd

We are a socially responsible organization dedicated to accelerating the transition to net zero by delivering solar energy solutions and educational programs to schools.

Our belief is that educational institutions play a crucial role in driving decarbonization efforts. We provide funding for energy and climate education initiatives powered by solar energy. Our work includes financing, developing, installing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in schools, while also delivering energy and carbon education to students, educators, and support staff.

Currently, we manage over two hundred solar systems in schools worldwide and aim to expand our reach significantly.

Our vision encompasses creating software, securing funding, and enhancing educational resources to empower up to 2,000 schools weekly to adopt solar energy globally. Our digital platforms enable students to explore energy, carbon, and climate change topics, and even engage in developing solar projects at their own schools.

Role Overview

We seek a dedicated individual with outstanding communication abilities and experience in working with children to assist in the creation and execution of our science-oriented educational program.

The ideal candidate will possess a kind, nurturing, and adaptable demeanor, coupled with creativity and strong listening skills, enabling them to respond effectively to the diverse needs of both primary and secondary students.

A genuine interest in sustainability and some familiarity with climate education is preferred, along with a basic understanding of carbon and renewable energy, particularly solar PV. However, training will be provided for those lacking specific knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safeguarding protocols while delivering the Solar for Schools science-based educational program to children in assemblies and workshops.

  • Address inquiries and provide additional information to schools regarding the educational program and other services offered by Solar for Schools.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system regarding school communications, contact information, and potential opportunities.
  • Foster positive relationships with school staff to better understand and meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with the Education Team to promote and enhance Solar for Schools' educational software and resources.
