Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Farmfoods in Southampton, Hampshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Shop Manager to run an efficient shop and provide excellent customer service.
- Develop and lead a team of Retail Assistants through coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback.
- Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager and ensure that customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy shop.
- Take responsibility for motivating and guiding the team to ensure the control of operational costs, including shrinkage, waste, and payroll.
- Support the Shop Manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.
Requirements:
- A friendly, positive, and hardworking approach to work.
- To be a 'people person' who can build strong working relationships with colleagues.
- To be trustworthy and reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team.
- Some experience as a manager, team leader, or supervisor.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary between £28,000 and £32,332.28 per annum on a 43-hour contract.
