C2 Charity Recruitment, a leading non-profit recruitment specialist, is partnering with a well-established charity retailer to fill two exciting Area Manager positions.

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of approximately 17 shops across North East England/Cumbria, including locations in Tyne and Wear, County Durham, North Yorkshire, and Cumbria.

Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and ensuring the successful operation of the stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain sales performance across the area of stores
  • Collaborate with shop teams to source sufficient levels of donated stock locally
  • Support the recruitment, induction, and retention of a diverse and inclusive volunteer team, ensuring they have the necessary skills to maximise income and profitability
  • Manage expenditure and deliver net contribution
  • Analyse commercial data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance store performance
  • Stay up-to-date with retail trends, competitor activity, and market developments, providing insights to inform business decisions
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies to achieve organisational targets

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Area Manager in charity or retail
  • Proven track record of developing and managing budgets
  • Experience in setting and managing income and expenditure budgets
  • Leadership and line management experience, with a focus on building and maintaining a high-performing team culture
  • Strong business acumen and a positive, can-do attitude
