Job Title: Support Worker - Waking Night Position

Job Type: Part-time

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Support Worker to join our team at SNAP Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to a 16-year-old client with Dravet Syndrome, learning disabilities, and limited spontaneous communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overnight support and care to the client, including monitoring for seizures and encouraging a good night's sleep
  • Assist with morning routine, personal care, dressing, and feeding
  • Support the client with his interests and hobbies, including outdoor activities and theme parks
  • Plan and implement day trips and outings, taking into account the client's needs and preferences
  • Work collaboratively with the client's family and other professionals to ensure a high-quality care package

Requirements:

  • Experience working with clients with complex needs, including Dravet Syndrome and learning disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident swimmer
  • Non-smoker/vaper
