We are working closely with a Local Authority in Lancaster to assist with the appointment of a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant on a 1.5-month contract, which may be extended at the client's discretion. If you are a skilled and experienced pharmacy professional, we encourage you to apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver efficient dispensary operations and minimize dispensing losses.
- Ensure accurate handling and dispensing of all medicines, including NHS and private prescriptions.
- Comply with legal and professional requirements, as well as Company SOPs.
- Assist in the delivery of all pharmacy services where appropriate.
- Provide safe and accurate advice on medicines, including OTC medication, to customers and patients.
- Deliver on all aspects of the Dispensing role, including ordering medicines, labeling, dispensing, and endorsing with appropriate claims.
Requirements:
- You will have a NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or Dispensing Assistant qualifications completed by a GPhC accredited route.
- Experience of working in a community pharmacy, ideally with experience of using Pharmacy Manager software.
- A valid Working NHS Smartcard.

- You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
- You should have the right to work in the U.K.
- This role requires a basic DBS.
