About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Director to lead our Flood Risk team at Align Property Services. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering hydraulic modelling projects that meet client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate and provide guidance on 1D/2D hydraulic modelling techniques to support Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Alleviation Schemes, and Drainage Strategies.
  • Work with our team of Flood Risk Engineers and Technicians to deliver projects that meet client needs while providing technical support to others.
  • Manage project delivery and provide leadership within an engineering consultancy.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs, and ability to manage expectations.
Requirements
  • Degree in Geography, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or equivalent with post-qualification experience.
  • Proven record delivering Flood Alleviation schemes, Flood Risk Assessments, and Drainage Strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of the regulatory system to ensure that designs and projects comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools, such as Autocad, QGIS, and Hydraulic Modelling software.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
