Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our Finance team at Global Processing Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial transaction recording, and providing financial insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and ensure accurate financial transaction recording in Netsuite.
  • Process monthly UK and international payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting policies and introduce an accounting playbook to uphold accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
  • Coordinate external audits with auditors to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate completion.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors on tax compliance matters such as VAT, GST, ERS, and Corporation Tax.
  • Lead automation initiatives for accounting processes, working closely with business partners to improve control environments and enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Oversee group bank account reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of GL coding, budget approvals, and invoice details.
  • Manage the financial month-end process, including posting journal entries, reconciling account balances, and preparing monthly reports.
  • Perform monthly analysis of budget-to-actual variances to identify trends and suggest areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Proven accounting experience in a fast-paced environment, with a professional accounting designation.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power-Bi.
  • Expertise in full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping practices.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial processes.
  • Proficiency in Netsuite or similar accounting software.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and GAAP accounting principles.
