Your Role:

As a CLO Operations Specialist, you will play a vital role within a dynamic team that is integral to our expansive fixed income operations. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary business management contact for all activities related to the CLOs managed by the team.
  • Oversee and maintain all data attributes within the compliance system to ensure optimal support for CLO Analysts and Portfolio Managers.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of holdings and over 50 data attributes between internal compliance systems and Trustee data.
  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Calculate and verify quarterly distribution payments to CLO investors.
  • Perform hypothetical trade tests and manage the process with internal support teams and Trustees.
  • Investigate and reconcile cash discrepancies with Trustees and internal operations teams.
  • Facilitate fund launches by managing processes from pricing to closing, including the approval of fund flows.
  • Test and validate new compliance models in accordance with CLO Indentures and provide feedback to vendors as necessary.
  • Establish effective controls and streamline processes to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Analysts, Portfolio Managers, Technology) and external partners (Trustees and Investors) to ensure high service standards.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the fixed income trading landscape to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Economics, Finance, or Business is preferred.

• Experience with CLOs and/or bank loans is advantageous.

• Demonstrated academic excellence, involvement in extracurricular activities, and relevant work experience.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

• A willingness to learn and share knowledge with others.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of VBA is a plus.
  • Familiarity with fixed income products, investment strategies, and derivatives is preferred.
