Job Summary:
The Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer is a key role within Great Boughton Parish Council, responsible for ensuring the effective management of the Council's resources, finances, and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Council, including preparing and distributing meeting papers, taking minutes, and maintaining accurate records.
- Manage the Council's finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Advise the Council on policies and procedures, and assist in the formation of overall policies to be followed in respect of the Authority's activities.
- Produce information required for making effective decisions and implement constructively all decisions.
- Understand the issues facing Parish Councils and the environment within which the Parish Council operates.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, excellent administrative and financial management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Arrangements:
This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week.
